Was here a few days ago and was not pleased with the staff or the owner at all. I was very interested in getting a cockatiel to add to my family and due to seeing ads from their store I came here since they were having a sale for them for $50. The lady then showed me one of the birds and said that “it was only that price for breeders” then I told her I was still interested and then she had changed the story to “they are just mean and aren’t tamed” I had told her that I am able to tame them and that it wasn’t an issue. She then said that she didn’t recommend that for me and said the price was going to be $200-$400 depending on what the color of the cockatiel is. I don’t believe that this was correct I felt very unwelcome and uncomfortable it was as if she hadn’t wanted me to adopt a little cockatiel. I saw a family there who had just adopted two and I know for a fact that they got the deal. The white cockatiel that she had first showed me wasn’t healthy at all and I don’t think their birds are well taken care of:/ I don’t recommend this place AT ALL and they ARE NOT kid friendly either. I would rate them a 0 star if I could. You’re better off going else where for a new bird to add to your flock. This store NEEDS to be SHUT DOWN for the birds sake and sued by the customers who had lost their money when putting a deposit down. This place is absolute garbage! Very untrustworthy people.

I get my birds, mainly from the store. Dot I’ve been coming here off and on for five years for there birds!! And there have great food there for their birds

Absolutely love this place! Kid friendly just make sure an adult is carefully watching. The Arizona Bird Store has got to be one of the coolest Birds stores in Arizona! I have been many times and each time has been a special time. Be sure to be respectful to the birds. Ask staff what is appropriate to do. The bird room was a superb experience! Be sure to read all of the signs before entering. You can bring your own fruit and feed them but be sure to do research before hand or ask an employee. The employees are very knowledgeable and compassionate about all of the birds. Another word of advice would be sure to wear longer sleeves just in case. It is a louder environment depending on the time of the day. This is a semi handicap accessible place but there are some tight spaces please keep in that in mind. Calling ahead of time is always a plus. They sell all of kinds of cafes, food, toys and etc for the birds.

Wonderful store and very knowledgeable staff! Debbie was super sweet with my daughter as she held a cockatiel. We brought home "Banana" and are very happy with our experience.

Store is very filthy. There were dog feces on the floor and two large dogs loose behind the counter. All the items are overpriced and covered in dust and dander. Items are not safe to bring home to your birds due to contamination from the numerous other birds that share the same airspace. Bulk food is stale and full of seed moths. Majority of water sources in cages were dirty or empty and several birds looked unwell.
